The Haiti Committee is sponsoring a Fall Chili Festival featuring a chili cook-off on November 1 from 1-4pm. Also going on will be a silent auction, bake sale and home beer brewing demonstration. Children in costumes are welcome.

EVENT DETAILS
PURPOSE: The Haiti Committee is sponsoring this event to benefit our work in the schools of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Fonds Baptiste, Haiti.
DATE: Sunday, November 1, 2015
TIME: 1-4pm
Contestants may arrive to decorate their space any time after 11am
PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILI UNTIL AFTER 12:45PM
LOCATION: Church of the Holy Family Hall
185 Church Street
Hebron, CT
ENTRY FEE: $10 (registration form required with entry fee) After your registration
form is received your chili pans will be placed in the Narthex, labeled with your name for pick up.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Each entrant should identify a theme for his/her chili. Be prepared to decorate your table and dress to support that theme. For example: Bedrock Chili with team members dressed as Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.
- Your table must be staffed from 1-4 pm to serve your chili
PRIZES FOR: Best theme (as judged by the Haiti Committee)
Best meat chili (People’s Choice)
Best vegetarian chili (People’s Choice)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- At least 3 pounds of chili should be cooked and brought to the church hall HOT in the pans that will be provided after your registration form is received.
- Warming racks and sterno will be provided at each contestant’s table
- Prizes will be announced at 3:30pm
- The following will be supplied:
- Spoons and cups for tasting
- Condiments: sour cream, cheese, onions, cornbread (regular and gluten free)
- Water, tea and coffee
