Mass Attendance

All students are required to participate at weekly liturgy as the Mass is an essential part of the Religious Education Program and of their spiritual development. Weekly participation at the Table of Plenty is our communal and our personal obligation as Roman Catholics in our faith. At the end of each class period included on the parent/guardian student sign out, there is a section to record Mass attendance.

Class Attendance

All religious education students are required to attend all classes and special liturgical ceremonies. Failure to do so will hinder the ability of the child to maintain his/her appropriate curriculum level for the advancement within the School of Religion. All students will be assessed at the end of the term for parent information and program evaluation. Our handbook explains the attendance policy more in-depth and can be found at http://holyfamilyhebron.org/images/CREHANDBOOKFINALFall2014.pdf

Please be sure to contact the class teacher and/or the DRE in the event of absences due to illness or emergency to obtain make up assignments.

Safe Environment Program

The Safe Environment Initiative has been designed to help educate our children and re-enforce the value of talking to appropriate adults about topics that may make them feel uncomfortable. Though this initiative is mandated by the Diocese of Norwich to ensure children are protected from abuse, it is also a means of discussing situations such as bullying, teasing, and harassment which may be impacting our children on a day to day basis. The CRE program hopes to address any issues that may impact any child's sense of value and belonging to the Church and community. Your child will participate in the Safe Environment presentation as part of the CRE curriculum at the beginning of the CRE year.

Photo and Video Release

Your child may be featured on our website or social media platforms as a result of participating in various events. Please contact the DRE if you wish to opt out of being featured.

Sign Out

At the end of each class period parents and/or authorized persons must sign out each student for the safetly of all of the children in the program. The following individuals are the onlyauthorized adults (other than parents) permitted to pick up and sign out my child from Religious Education classes.
